Today I have made some tweeks to my blog, and made small  changes to my front cover, contents page and double page spread. This was quite important as I took advice from my teacher and peeps to what changes I needed to make. I believe the small changes can make a big difference. So now I'll have to write up my article in word and then put it into my double page spread.

Over the weekend, I finished off my final drafts. I also continued to construct my front cover and started work on the contents page. I know that I will still need to make a few changes, and due to getting help from my media teacher, I was enabled to tweek a few things and make it look more professional e.g. the font size. By printing a draft design out - I was able to see how it would actually look like. Because my draft design was constructed well and easily made changes to. I was able to finish it off quicker, yet spent quite some time researching some indie magazine coverlines. I would say right now I am quite proud of what I have done so far, yet I still know I will need to do some more minor changes to add in more detail and effect to the music magazine.
So far my magazine front cover, contents and double page spread looks like this:

Today, I worked on my front cover especially, as I wanted to put in more detail to the 'skeleton' view of it. I added some features and built up the genre of the magazine. I added some differnet fonts that looked elegant and went with the genre such as "Times New Roman." I worked on the layout of my double page spread and understand that I have to work  better towards the context and language of the magazine.

Over the weekend I did my draft designs of my front cover, contents page and double page spread, because I believed it would be easier for me to constuct my magazine with the aid of my draft designs and also keeping in track with my work. Today I started my double page spreads (layout) because I believed it was the easiest and the only page I was certain with, as I think I still need to make a few changes to my contents page and take more images, most probably of a male aswell to give a wider audience attracation. Today, I got used to the photoshop tools again as its been quite a long time since I haven't used them and by becoming familiar with them I played around to construct a close enough image to my draft.

Recently I did a photoshoot in order to give me an idea of what to plan for my draft front cover, contents page and double page spreads. This was vital as I had already understood what type of shots to take and took into considerations of what I had done wrong in my preliminary task. I took various shot types such as long shots, extreme close ups and then used a prop (guitar) in order to establish my indie magazine. Today I was able to upload my mood board and mood board analysis alongside my questionnaire.

Today I started my questionnaire analysis for my research. I put the data into excel and made pie charts for each one, and started explaining them. I expect to finish this by the end of the week alongside my draft designs.

I printed out all my 10 questionnaires, then went to my target age group and got results. Alongside, scanned in my initial ideas (spider diagram) and the draft hand drawn designs of my front cover and contents page.
